Happy Thought Indeed

Once upon a time, there was a girl who loved Jane Austen, U2, movies, reading, and the Red Sox. Then she met the Object of Her Affection and found someone who liked three out of five. She decided this was a good thing. This is her story.

Spit & Eggs

Seriously, I was shaking while I was watching Veronica Mars tonight. How can people not be watching this show? It was good, especially the end last couple minutes. Can I tell you how much I love Logan??

Clueless - The Movie Not My New Job

I totally forgot how much I love this movie. I'm making Omar laugh as I recite lines along with Cher and Dionne and Tai. Our VCR is no longer connected to anything and we only have the movie on VHS so I haven't watched in forever. It's on Bravo right now, which also means that half the good lines are edited or cut out completely. But, oh my God, such a funny movie.

It makes me wish Alicia Silverstein would find another good movie to make. The last movie I saw with her in it that I actually liked was Love's Labor Lost, the Kenneth Branagh one. I have the soundtrack but not the movie itself, which I think I would like to own someday.

This movie was made in 1995. And now I feel wicked old.

Doing the Happy Dance

Republicans are OUT.

Kerry Healey is GONE.

Democrats are IN.

Dubya is SCREWED.

Doing the happy dance.

American Royalty

Britney and Kevin are getting divorced. This is funny because Joy says in an episode of Earl, "I swear to God, that Britney and Kevin are like American royalty." I always tee-hee'ed when I heard this line and have repeated it to Omar in my Joy voice. But now that they're getting divorced, for some reason it's funnier.
